Nigerian Fuji music legend, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, widely known as Obesere, has shared a story of survival, revealing that he narrowly escaped a life-threatening surgery.

The singer took to Instagram to express his deep gratitude for overcoming a situation that could have ended in tragedy.

The Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yoruba Land posted a video from his hospital bed, detailing his near-death experience.

Obesere revealed that the surgery he underwent was fraught with danger, but, by divine intervention, he managed to pull through.

Obesere, who didn’t reveal why he had to undergo the surgery, highlighted relief and gratitude, as he credited his survival to the mercy of Allah.

Following his post, fans and colleagues from the entertainment industry have been sending him best wishes and prayers for a quick recovery.

Obesere acknowledged that the outpouring of support from his peers and admirers alike has been overwhelming, saying that he is now recuperating even as he takes time to reflect on life and gets back on his feet.

“The messages of love and encouragement have served as a reminder of the strong bond I share with his fans and fellow artistes,” he added.
