Protesters set fire to Kaduna State office, loot property

The hunger protest in Kaduna State reportedly turned violent on Thursday as protesters set fire to the headquarters of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA).

The protest, which was previously peaceful, turned violent as hundreds of protesters marched back to Ahmedu Bello Way from Kaduna Government House via Sokoto Road.

The protesters also looted property at the KASTLEA headquarters and nearby private residences.

Mr. Samuel Aruwan, who oversees the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the incident.
