Demonstrators have vowed to sustain their protests until President Bola Tinubu addresses their grievances and meets their demands.

They urged the president to act quickly, promising to immediately suspend the protests once their demands were satisfied.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Mr. Damilare Adenola, Director of Mobilisation of the “Take It Back Movement,” expressed his dismay that the oppressive regime under Tinubu’s leadership had persisted for far too long.

He said: “The various court orders restricting protesters to particular locations are an aberration. Our presence here today is an announcement that we have been oppressed for too long.

“Today, we have risen. We are saying to the president that unless President Bola Tinubu accedes to our demands, we will remain on the streets. We want to see the president on the street. During the protest, he was on the street.”

Mr. Ayoola Babalola, a prominent leader of the movement, condemned the heavy security presence around the Moshood Abiola Stadium, describing it as a national embarrassment.

He declared that the show of force by the security personnel would not intimidate or deter the protesters, just as he vowed to continue their demonstrations.
