Kano State Govt. files fresh charges against ex-Gov. Ganduje, ex-commissioner

The Kano State Government on Tuesday slammed new charges against the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, who is currently the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In the case numbered K/143c/24, Ganduje and his former Commissioner for Justice, Musa Lawan, face charges of criminal conspiracy and misappropriation of funds.
These offenses are punishable under Sections 308 and 309 of the Kano State Penal Code (as amended), Vol. 2, Laws of Kano State.
The state government also stated that the offenses are punishable under Sections 97 and 315, citing Ganduje and Lawan’s abuse of office.
The charge sheet states that the prosecution intends to call four witnesses to testify in the case, but no date has been fixed for their arraignment.
