Senate President Akpabio said Nigeria will be in a better place at the end of President Bola Tinubu’s tenure, assuring Nigerians that the challenges facing the country will be no more.

Akpabio, at the Kugbo Bus Terminal launch on Tuesday, said: “By the time this President is through with his tenure in this country, seven years from today, many people will not recognize FCT and Nigeria again.”

The Senate President said: “Let us continue to pray for President Tinubu and be hopeful that you will see the challenges you see today, tomorrow and no more.”

The 10th Senate leader commended Tinubu for appointing Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and for his foresight in selecting capable hands.

He said: “So, I believe that you are a square peg in a square hole, and I must thank the President for having the eyes to pinpoint those who can perform and bring them.”

He highlighted the significance of the new bus terminal project, noting its potential to alleviate traffic congestion and improve security. Drawing parallels to Tinubu’s achievements in Lagos, Akpabio remarked,

“He did it in Lagos, and today, Lagos is one of the best; it is one of the largest economies in Africa when we are talking about cities.”

On the project, the lawmaker said: “This is for me another major wonder of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. This is a way to cater to a city of this nature.

“This is a way to cater to the people of the area councils, the FCT residents, and visitors alike.”
