Ex-Vice President Atiku visits Buhari, Emirs of Daura, Kastina

Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election, on Saturday visited former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku also led stakeholders to the Daura residence of the former late governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Lawan Kaita, on a condolence visit over the loss of the matriarch of the family.

According to reports, Atiku received a warm reception for the visit across major townships of the Daura Emirate, and the former Vice President also made similar courtesy visits to the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar Farouk.

He also paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.

According to a statement from the Atiku Media Office on Saturday, Atiku made the trip to show his love for Katsina State in particular and to get to know the notable figures of the Daura Emirate.

Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, said:”His Excellency Atiku Abubakar’s meeting in Katsina State today is essentially a continuation of his courtesy visits since the end of Sallah celebrations and, especially, to condole with the family of his late old friend, Mallam Lawan Kaita.”
