Breaking: Pres. Tinubu assents to old national anthem Bill

President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 on Wednesday, thereby reinstating the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

The president’s assent has dumped the current anthem with the opening lyric, “Arise, O Compatriots.”

Persecondnews reports that the signing of the bill coincides with the one-year anniversary of the Bola Tinubu administration on May 29.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives had swiftly passed the bill.
