As security operatives laid siege to the Abuja residence of ex-Kogi Gov. Yahaya Bello on Wednesday, his successor, Gov. Ahmed Ododo stormed the house and smuggled Bello out in his official car.

Security operatives who had condoned off the roads leading to Bello’s house reportedly fired shots into the air as the governor’s convoy leaves.

Persecondnews had reported that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had stormed Bello’s residence to arrest him.

After hours of being unable to secure their mission, the security operatives had reinforced with backup support from the police and Department of State Services (DSS).
