Ahead of the highly anticipated clash between Nigeria and Ivory Coast in the final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has exuded confidence that Ivory Coast is a beatable opponent in Sunday’s showdown for the 2023 AFCON title.

Musa, alongside Kenneth Omeruo, eyes a historic feat as they aim to secure Nigeria’s second AFCON title, potentially becoming the first Nigerians to achieve this milestone.

The final, scheduled to kick off at 8:00 p.m. Nigerian time at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, promises an electrifying spectacle.

Reflecting on his personal journey, Musa expresses his desire to lift the AFCON title once more, reminiscent of the triumph in 2013 under the late coach, Stephen Keshi.

Despite his absence from the ongoing AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, Musa’s unwavering dedication to the Super Eagles shines through as he anticipates a challenging yet victorious encounter against Ivory Coast.

“I know our match against Ivory Coast is going to be a tough match; like I said in the beginning, we are just here to win the trophy, inshaallah.”
