After a two-week private visit to France, President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday evening returned to Abuja.
Tinubu’s aircraft landed at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, about 8:55pm.
On hand to receive the President were senior government officials including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, the Chief of Staff, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser, retired AIG Nuhu Ribadu and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike.
Kaduna Governor Uba Sani, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri and the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS) Yusuf Magaji Bichi, were also at the airport to receive Tinubu.
Persecondnews recalls that Tinubu had made three trips to France since he became President; two of the visits were private while only one was official.
The first of such trips was in June 2023, three weeks after his inauguration as President while the second was in September 2023.
On January 24, 2024, President Tinubu had departed Abuja for Paris on a “private visit.
