Again, Rivers State Gov. Siminalayi Fubara’s election has been confirmed by the nation’s apex court.

A five-member panel of the Supreme Court on Thursday affirmed Fubara’s election in a unanimous decision

It dismissed the appeal filed by Dr Tonye Cole and the All Progressives Congress as unmeritorious against Fubara and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Delivering the judgment, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa held that Cole and the APC failed to bring sufficient evidence to substantiate their claim that Fubara was not validly elected.
