President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja for Paris, the French capital, later today, according to the presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
In a terse statement on Wednesday, he said the visit is a private one.
The statement did not disclose the purpose of the visit but stated that the Nigerian leader will “return to the country in the first week of February 2024.”
Persecondnews reports that the Wednesday trip will be Tinubu’s third visit to the country since assuming office.
Tinubu’s first official visit as President of Nigeria to Paris, dubbed the “City of Love,” was in June 2023, when he attended the two-day Global Financing Summit convened by President Emmanuel Macron.
