President Bola Tinubu on Monday sworn in eight newly appointed permanent secretaries just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The permanent secretaries include Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba, Bako Deborah Odoh, Omachi Raymond Omenka, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Nicholas Agbo.

The president approved their appointments last week Friday after scaling through a rigorous assessment process.

Tinubu said he expected them to deploy their expertise and competence in the implementation of the “Renewed Hope Mandate” of his administration and for the revitalization of service delivery in the federal ministries, departments and agencies.

Persecondnews reports that at the time of this report, the President is presiding over the week’s FEC meeting, the 5th at the Council Chamber of the State House, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima in attendance.

Others are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. (Mrs) Folashade Yemi-Esan, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila.

Ministers are also participating in the FEC meeting.
