Amid the high inflation rate, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has postponed its Monetary Policy Committee meeting (MPC).
No date has been fixed for the meeting.
The meeting, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, November 20 and 21, is being postponed for the second time since Mr Olayemi Cardoso became the governor of the apex court in September.
The latest development was confirmed by CBN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Dr Isa Abdulmumin, in a text message that “MPC is not holding”.
The postponement will, however, keep investors and analysts waiting a bit longer for Cardoso’s approach to surging inflation which hit 27.33 percent in October.
