Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, absent at Supreme Court as Justice Okoro reels out judgment

As the Supreme Court in Abuja is delivering judgment in the appeal filed against the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Court affirming President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the polls, all the three contestants in the February 25, 2023 poll are absent in court.

The trio of Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi and President Tinubu are conspicuously unavailable in the court room.

Persecondnews reports that the representatives of the candidates present in the court are the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila; FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure and his APC counterpart, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.

Others are the National Security Adviser, Mr Nuhu Ribadu, and other chieftains of PDP.

Justice Okoro is reading the judgment to a packed court session.
