Super Eagles shambolic defensive display gave Roberto Mancini his first point as Manager of the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia.

The Super Eagles were wasteful in the first half of the game failing to convert chances created in the final third with Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman guilty of missing glorious chances.

The half-time team talk from Jose Pesiero didn’t pay off as the Green Falcons broke the deadlock through a set piece in the 60th minutes.

Salam Al-Faraji”s free kick was aided into the net by Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho.

The Super Eagles got a life line after Al Amri in the 83rd minute turned the ball into his own net before Iheanacho stunner from the edge of the box kgave the Super Eagles the lead for the first time in the tie.

Horrendous mistake from Uzoho gave Mohammed Kamno the chance to even things 2-2 in the 90+10 minutes.

Football fans on social media displeased with the outcome of the game and the performance of Uzoho, questioned his continuous call up to the national team.

Yemi Star wrote: “So you mean to tell me that the most populous footballing black nation has no Goalkeeper home or abroad better than this fraud Francis Uzoho.”

Meanwhile, for the Green Falcons and Roberto Mancini this is his first point since taking over from Herve Renard; he lost his first two games against Costa Rica and South Korea.

Saudi Arabia national team have been abysmal in 2023 losing their last six games and conceding 12 goals in the process with their only victory this year coming in January against Yemen.
