Ogun Gov. Abiodun appoints Lekan Adeniran as Chief Press Secretary

Ogun Gov. Dapo Abiodun has named Mr Lekan Adeniran as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).

The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

Adeniran, a graduate of Mass Communication with about three decades of experience, started his journalism career at the Guardian newspaper in 1992, where he covered the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Lagos State House of Assembly and Governor’s Office, Alausa, Ikeja.

He left the Guardian in 2001 to join the newly established Daily Independent. The new CPS also worked with the Compass, Next and National Mirror newspapers.

Until his appointment, Adeniran was the editor of WesternPost, an online newspaper.
