Pres. Tinubu in Cotonou for Benin Republic’s 63rd independence anniversary

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Cotonou ahead of the 63rd independence anniversary of the Republic of Benin.

The President was received at Cardinal Bernadin Gantin Gadjehoun International Airport Cotonou by Benin Republic’s Senior Coordinating Minister, Bio Tchane.

Tinubu was accompanied by six governors — Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq (Kwara ), Nasir Idris (Kebbi) and Mohammed Umar Bago (Niger).

A statement by Mr Dele Alake, the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, and given to Persecondnews, said Tinubu would participate in the military parade and reception hosted by the Benin Government.
