I’m self made — Mo Abudu

994

Movie producer and founder of EbonyLife TV has described herself as a self-made woman, who worked hard to get to where she is at the moment.

She was reacting to insinuations from the public that she earned everything she currently enjoys on a platter of gold because she was born into a rich family.

But Abudu urged people to disregard the rumors being peddled about her, saying she was born into a Cocoa farmers’ family in Ondo State.

She stated that her parents were born by hard-working cocoa farmers, who made sufficient money to send their children — her parents — to London to study.

Abudu said while she was born in the UK, she lost her dad at the age of 11 and had to work harder because her mum was not left with much to fall back on.

“When I hear people say I was born with a silver spoon or I was born into wealth, I just laugh because people don’t know what I went through.

“My dad died at the age of 11 and I had to work and did a lot of menial jobs just to support my mum as the eldest daughter. I give glory to God for everything He has done for me but I am indeed a self-made woman.”
