“Police said they have launched an aggressive manhunt for the kidnappers who carried out the dastardly act”

In spite of his fetish to ward off evil spirits and powers, a popular native doctor in Anambra State, Chukwudozie Nwangwu, also known as “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki” has been kidnapped.

The herbalist was abducted on Sunday night after two of his aides were killed in a shoot-out and taken to an undisclosed location.

Persecondnews gathered that Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki was kidnapped at Triple P Hotel at Oba in Idemili North Local Government Area.

The gun-wielding men had stormed the hotel, demystified the herbalist, reputed to be the most powerful in the land.

A resident expressed shock that the native doctor, who prepares “disappearance and anti-bullet charms” for people can be easily kidnapped.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the unfortunate incident occurred about 11:30pm on Sunday.

Ikenga said police have launched an “aggressive manhunt” for the kidnappers as directed by the Police Commissioner, Mr Aderemi Adeoye.

“We have already launched a manhunt for the abductors to secure the release of the victim.
