Following the vagaries of petrol pump price occasioned by subsidy removal by the Bola Tinubu administration, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has begged Nigerians to be more patient over the impact of the subsidy scrapping, reports Persecondnews.

Onanuga, who was the spokesman of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organization, made the appeal in a statement via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

He called for patience and understanding by Nigerians as the entire nation is collectively facing the impacts of the petrol price raise.

In another breath, Onanuga warned against hurling attacks on the Tinubu-led administration in response to the market forces-driven price hike.

Meanwhile, the one-time Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), has urged the public to wait for the palliatives promised by the federal government to cushion the effects of the price hike.

Expressing the hope that the measures would alleviate the burden caused by the higher fuel prices, Onanuga said the potential benefits that would stem from subsidy savings with more funds being channeled into states for various developmental initiatives.
