2.8k

The President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, on Saturday paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, the first by any country’s leader since his inauguration on May 29, 2023.

Tinubu received Embaló, who doubles as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at his Lagos residence on Saturday.

Details of the meeting were still sketchy as at press time.

On February 10, 2023, Embaló had visited former President Muhammadu Buhari, just about 15 days to the general elections.
