Till I go to heaven, I will never campaign for anybody – Oyedepo

1.4k

The founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, said on Sunday that he has never campaigned for any politician in his life and will never do it till he meets his Creator.

Persecondnews reports that the revered cleric’s spoke while addressing thousands of worshipers on Palm Sunday at Canaanland, Ota in Ogun State, headquarters of the church.

The fiery faith-based church leader was reacting to the alleged leaked conversation between Oyedepo and the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.

“There is no party in this country that did not come to me for prayers. There is no (political) party in this country that didn’t come to me for prayers and advice.

“I advised them, some, they didn’t take. Those who chose to take it saw results; those who said No are still going about it,” Oyedepo said.

In the so-called leaked audio, Obi was heard pleading with the Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle to help him canvass for votes from the Christian folds in the Southwest.

“If you still come again, I will still tell you, it doesn’t change.”

Persecondnews recalls that Obi had in the build-up to the 2023 elections visited the church as well as other churches across the country for prayers.
