There is apprehension in the entertainment industry over the sudden disappearance of famous comedian and social media influencer, Ganiyu Kehinde, also known as Ijoba Lanbe.

Popular Yoruba actor, Kunle Afod, had posted the picture of Lanbe on his Instagram page on Tuesday afternoon amid fears that the comedian had gone missing.

While comments trailed the post cautioning Afod to pull down the post and stop joking about a delicate matter, the actor kept sealed lips, apparently knowing what many didn’t know.

Fears became heightened some hours later following the alarm raised by Lanbe’s wife that her husband was missing having left home since Sunday with no trace as to his whereabouts.

His wife confirmed this in a video shared via the comedian’s Instagram account on Tuesday.

She can be seen crying in the video, saying that her husband has been missing for three days, adding that he left home without his phone and that he has yet to return.

She wrote: “This is to inform the public that IJOBA LANDE left home to an unknown destination on 26th of march around 9:00 pm and up till now we can find him.

“We have reported the case at the nearest police station and with their help, they help us to send signal to radio station please if you noticed anything you can fm his account or #ijesaekun

“He left his phone at home after breaking his fasting on 26th that was the last time we heard from him.”

Many of Lanbe’s colleagues have been making frantic efforts to call the attention of relevant authorities to the development through the social media platforms.
