Twenty-five years after the passing on of his father, Nigeria’s worst military dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha, his eldest son, Abdullahi Sani Abacha, has exited the world.

Persecondnews gathered that Abdullahi died in his sleep at the family’s palatial, luxury residence at Nelson Mandela Street, Abuja, in the early hours of Saturday.

His sister, Fatimah Gumsu Abacha-Buni, who is the First Lady of Yobe State, announced this on Saturday via her verified Instagram page.

She wrote: “Innalillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun (Surely, we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return). I lost my younger brother Abdullahi Sani Abacha. He died in his sleep.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul firdaos (paradise), Ameen. Please include him in your prayers”.

She said prayers would be held at the National Mosque in Abuja at 4 p.m. on Saturday for the repose of his soul.

Persecondnews also reports that the deceased is one of the nine children of the ironfisted former Head of State, who ruled from 1994 to 1998.
