Barely four days to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, death has snatched the House of Representatives candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State.

The deceased, Alhaji Kamilu Ado Isa, was a former Assistant Comptroller General of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Isa, who was the candidate for the Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency, died on Monday during a brief illness, Persecondnews reports.

He has been buried in Kano according to  Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, the party’s Presidential Candidate, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, has condoled with Isa’s family, describing his death as shocking and a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

“Isa dedicated his time, wealth and energy to the success of the party and his immediate community.

“I am saddened by the loss of Hon. Kamilu Ado Isah, the NNPP House of Representatives Candidate for Wudil/Garko constituency.

“May the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal peace. My condolence to his family, friends and the NNPP Kano Chapter,” Kwankwaso, a one-time Governor of Kano said.
