Can a man lose his virginity like his womenfolk? Yes according to Pere Egbi, a finalist on Big Brother Naija’s “Shine ya eyes,” who shared a story about his personal life, including how he lost his virginity at the age of 19.

Pere talked about his past relationships in an interview with media star Toke Makinwa on her podcast, Toke Moments.

Persecondnews reports that generally claims of losing virginity is a bigger deal for women than for men. For women during their first time of having sex it comes with some pain, bleeding and fun.

Sexuality education experts say such an “uncomfortable and frightening start” to a hopefully rich and enjoyable sexual life can make it intimidating.

According to them, often men do not seem to give as much consideration to losing their virginity.

But “boy Pere” now an adult disclosed that he was 19 when he lost his virginity and was 21 or 22 when he fell in love with an older woman.

He said that they had a sexual relationship while she was 27 years old.

The reality star recalled that the relationship was purely sexual as they were having intense sex.

However, the relationship didn’t last long as the lady broke up with him over their age difference.

Pere, who was heartbroken, stated that he tried to talk her out of it and save the relationship, but all his efforts proved abortive.

The lady stopped picking his calls and this made him lose his appetite and sleep for days.

Pere further disclosed that he tried to get over her by dating other women, but it didn’t work out.

“I lost my virginity at 19. There was this chick I met, she was older. I met this woman when I was 21/22, she was 27. It was purely sexual – we were just having sex.

“The whole thing turned into this crazy relationship. And then she brought up this age thing, how she can’t have anything serious with me anymore because it’s bothering her about age.

“I tried to talk her out of it, that age is nothing but a number, but she didn’t agree. She stopped responding to my calls. After a long time, I was heartbroken.

“I couldn’t eat or sleep. It was insane. I tried to get over her with other women, but it didn’t work,” he said.
