The bandits had in the wee-hours, set afire Rev. Achi, the Catholic Priest of Saint Peter and Paul Church, Kaffin-Koro in Paikoro Local Government Area, Niger State.

The armed bandits, who were said to have made several previous attempts to attack the community, gained access at 1.00 am, shooting sporadically into the air while they made their way to the church.

Persecondnews recalls that a few days ago the police had celebrated the arrest of four armed bandits planning to launch attack on Maje village near Nasko Magama and other communities.

It was gathered that the killers initially had difficulty gaining access into the Catholic Priest’s residence as they struggled for over an hour.
