Wizkid made my year, Carterefe declares

Skit maker-turned singer, Carterefe, has praised Nigerian singer and Grammy Award winner, Wizkid for making his year.

The comedian had released Machala in the middle of 2022 and the song went to top music charts across different platforms and earned the singer recognitions within and outside the country.

Machala which is the favourite name Wizkid likes to be called was adopted as Carter’s break out song as a singer and turned out to be one of the biggest songs in 2022.

The song, according to the skit maker, was released to show his loyalty to WIzkid and to celebrate the greatness of the Grammy award winner.

Months after releasing the chart-topping song, Carter met Wizkid at beach concert in Lagos on Saturday and they hugged to the delight of his fans who had mocked Carter for his unrepentant attention-seeking tactics to get Wizkid’s endorsement of the song.

Speaking after meeting, Wizkid for the first time, Carter in a video shared on his social media platforms said Wizkid is the best gift he received this year.

He pointed out that the celebrated singer made his year and changed his life.
