Contrary to reports that Big Brother Naija Season 6 winner and singer, Whitemoney, has been signed to Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), the owner of the record label, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, has refuted the claim, describing it as untrue.

Banky W, who spoke during a radio interview monitored by Per Seconds News on Wednesday, said there was no truth in the reports that he signed the reality star to EME.

Whitemoney, who many people have questioned his music ability following a couple of failed attempts to impress music listeners with his songs, had posted a picture of himself and Banky W weeks back with a caption that seemed he had joined the label.

Some weeks back, a report emerged online that Whitemoney was signed to EME record label, and photos seemingly showing the moment the deal was signed and sealed made rounds online.

According to Banky W, who is also a House of Representatives candidate under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Eti-Osa, Lagos in 2023 election, he didn’t sign Whitemoney to his record label.

In fact, he doesn’t own a record label anymore because they rebranded as a media and marketing agency in 2017.”
