K1, Burna Boy, Innocent Idibia, others recieve national honours in Abuja

Fuji king, Wasiu Ayinde, otherwise known as KWAM1, Grammy Award-winner,  Burna Boy, female singer and Teni and Afrobeats music star, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2baba were on Tuesday  formally conferred with national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari.

While mixed reactions had trailed the nominations of K1 and Burna Boy for the honours, some Nigerians who reacted on social media said neither K1 nor Burna deserved the award.

But at an elaborate event at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja on Tuesday, prominent Nigerians were honoured with national awards in different categories just as KWAM1 received Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) while Burna Boy who is currently out of the country was represented.

Teni, 2baba also received their awards.
