The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, appears to be losing political grounds in Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s camp as his son, Folajimi
Mohammed, a second term lawmaker in Lagos State House of Assembly, was rejected at the party’s primary election.
The primary held on Friday saw Folajimi crashing out in the desperate bid to retain the ticket to represent Ikeja State Constituency 1 in the House in 2023.
Persecondnews recalls that the Minister’s son is currently serving two terms in the House.
Results released by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee which conducted the election, Mr Ewuoso Olamide, indicated that Folajimi polled nine votes while his rival, Seyi Lawal, got 15 votes.
