Danish national’s daredevil stunts finally end in disaster, to be hanged in Lagos for killing wife, daughter

A dare-devil Danish national, Peter Nielsen, who smothered his wife and three-year-old daughter in the wee-hours in 2018, has a date with the hangman, a court ruled on Friday.

Nielsen’s daredevil stunts have finally ended in disaster as a Lagos High Court said he should cease to live as a result of the murders he committed.

Persecondnews recalls that the 54-year-old Dane had killed his Nigerian wife, singer Zainab, and his daughter, Petra at their lkoyi in violation of Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Handing down the death verdict, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile said Nielsen is guilty as charged.

He was convicted for the two-count charge of murder brought against him by the Lagos State Government and therefore to die by hanging.

According to the prosecution, Nielsen committed the murderous acts at No. 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, at 3.45a.m.

Nielsen, whose trial began on June 13, 2018, had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
