Lagos traffic official dies of exhaustion on duty

An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday slumped and died while on duty at Ojota area of the Lagos metropolis.

The incident which occurred about 7.20am affected momentarily a free flow of traffic on the lkorodu-Ojuelegba-Costain Expressway as motorists and passersby gathered to watch and revive him.

First aid applied could not save the life of officer, whose identity was unknown.

His body was deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, by the state ambulance services.

No statement on the death of the officer yet by the management of LASTMA.
