Police sergeant at ex-Ogun Gov. Daniel’s Sagamu residence killed by his driver

A Police Sergeant, Adeleke Ogunsola, has been killed while performing a gateman’s job at the Sagamu palatial residence of former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel.

The deceased, who was posted to  Daniel’s Asoludero residence as a  security personnel, met his untimely death while opening the gate for Daniel’s driver.
According to reports, the gate suddenly rolled back and knocked down Sgt. Leke, who was again hit by the driver.
It was gathered by Persecondnews that the policeman was immediately rushed to a hospital in Sagamu where he was confirmed dead.
However, tongues have started wagging as to why an armed policeman deployed for security duties be turned to a gateman.
It was also learnt that officers posted to Daniel’s house are paid N2,500 weekly.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the state command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said:“That was an accident. The gate he was opening bounced back and the driver mistakenly hit him with the gate. It’s an accident, it can happen to anybody.”
