Gov. Ortom’s outbursts, retired Commodore Olawunmi’s expose: Channels TV queried, presenters summoned by NBC

581
Channels Television presenters have been summoned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for airing interviews critical of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Persecondnews recalls that the presenters of Channels’ breakfast show, “Sun Rise Daily” had featured Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and a former Nigerian Navy officer, retired Commodore Kunle Olawunmi, a military intelligence expert, on Wednesday, August 25.
Disclosing the query and summons from NBC, human rights activist and former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, Mr Chidi Odinkalu, said on his Twitter handle: ”There is confirmation that @nbcgovng has summoned the presenters of @sunrisedailynow for this morning.”
Ortom had accused the Buhari administration of being the worst when it comes to handling security matters.

He said he was disappointed at the way the president has handled certain critical matters in the country, especially insecurity.

“Mr President is pushing me to think that what they say about him, that he has a hidden agenda in this country is true,” Ortom said, adding: “because it is very clear that he wants to fulanise but he is not the first Fulani president.

“Shagari was a Fulani President, Yar’ Adua was a Fulani President and they were the best in the history. But President Buhari is the worst President when it comes to issues of security and keeping his promises.

“Go back to 2015, what did he say, human rights issues, he talked about press freedom, about the economy, corruption, security, tell me one that Mr President has achieved.

“He has achieved some level of development in other sectors but these prominent things that are concerns to Nigerians and we are all worried about.. tell me when Mr President has come out to address them.

“Is it corruption, we are worse in the history of this country,” Persecondnews quotes Ortom as saying while reacting to the president’s open grazing policy.

Kunle Olawunmi, a Professor of Global Security Studies, had fingered some governors, ministers and senators are sponsors of Boko Haram and that the Government knows them.
“Bureau De Change operators are also sponsors of Boko Haram which is also known.
“Another security breach is that every Friday NDA and all government institutions are opened for Jumat prayers. They come on Friday for worship. Later they become members of the mess who will later spy on the institution and plan their attack.
“This government does not want to resolve this problem, rather they are escalating it.
“The solution is not Kinetic solution but non kinetic. You identified the center of gravity, which had been identified. The center of gravity is the sponsors of Boko Haram and Bandits.
“Most of these sponsors are known within the intelligence community. The DMI, DSS and Police intelligence knows the sponsors very well. The DSS knows very well with tons of files of those sponsoring evil in this country.
“The Defence headquarters knows all those who are behind the terror going on in Nigeria today.
“The commander in chief knows exactly what is happening but he is quiet. When a fish is about to get rotten, the head is the first.
“The end game is to turn Nigeria into Taliban type of Country. Everyone in the Defense HQ, Army HQ, Naval HQ, and Airforce HQ.
“The government of Dubai knows the sponsors and they sent lists to the federal government. What did Buhari do?
A highly ranked member of this government was interrogated and was found culpable. He is currently a highly rated member of this government”, Olawunmi said on Channels TV.
