A 46-year-old bricklayer, Shina Adaramola, has confessed to robbing about 100 houses and raping at least 50 women.
Adaramola, who made the confession when he was arrested for robbery by the Ondo State Security Network Agency, “Operation Amotekun”, claimed to have raped the women after hypnotising them.
The suspect further disclosed that he pretended to be one of the organisers at parties of the rich people, and in the process, charm his victims in Ijare, a small satellite town to Akure, the state capital.
He narrated: “Whenever there is a party, I pretend to be one of the organisers. I have a special wine opener which I use to open wine for rich people in the party.
“With that I get my victims. I have been involved in this act for a long time since I lost everything and my landlord chased me out of his house, and my fiancée said I was not good for her anymore.
“I have raped about 50 women. Whenever I want to rape any woman, I always make sure I operate at night and the woman will fall for me after using charms on her.
“I make sure I cover the women’s faces while in the act.”
On how he got into full time crime,  Adaramola revealed during interrogation:” l had a fiancée who left me for another man a few days to our wedding.
“I became broke and frustrated and that was why I got involved in armed robberies which was lucrative for me.”
The Ondo Amotekun Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that the suspect was arrested during their ‘Operation Clean Up’ exercise in Owo council area of the state.
He said the suspect would be handed over to the relevant agency for prosecution in court.
