Runaway alleged pension fund thief, Maina, extradicted from Niger Republic

The erstwhile Chairman of the disbanded Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina,  has been extradited from Niger Republic  to face trial for money laundering charges.

Persecondnews recalls that Maina had taken to flight after he jumped bail but was arrested in Niger Republic with the help of Interpol.

A team of Police and other security men took strategic positions at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday to receive him as the aircraft touched down about 2.11pm.

Maina is standing trial for allegedly laundering about N2 billion.
