Speaking after receiving the items, the council chairman, Comrade John Emejor commended Umeh for what he described as his timely and unexpected intervention at a time like this by a fellow journalist.

Flanked by past chairmen of the council, Comrades Ogbonnaya Iheaka, Hyacinth Okoli, and other executive members, he prayed God to not only replenish Umeh’s pocket, but to also assist him in his own times of need.

In his brief remarks, the project manager of the foundation, Mr Isani Benjamin explained that the philanthropist, having been a practicing journalist, understands the plights of members of the union across the country.
