Another First: Makinde Appoints 2016 27-Year-Old Graduate As Commissioner

In Fulfilment Of His Electoral Promise, Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde Has Nominated Seun Fakorede, A 27-Year-Old Engineering Graduate, As Commissioner In His Cabinet.

 

If Cleared By The State House Of Assembly, Fakorede, Who Graduated From Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Will The Youngest To Be Appointed As Commissioner In The Pace-Setter State.

 

Makinde Was The First Governor In The Current Dispensation To Declare His Assets Of About N46 Billion Publicly, A Development Which Was Greeted With Both Applause And Criticisms.

 

The Commissioner-Nominee Hails From Idere Area Of Ibarapa Central Local Government And He Graduated With Civil Engineering Degree In 2016.

He Currently Runs His Business And Consultancy Services As Well As A Non-Profit Organisation –Home Advantage Africa (HAA).

 

HAA Is Devoted To Promoting Local Dominance And Global Stardom In Africa Through Digital Storytelling And Other Projects Of Similar Ilks.

 

Two Other Commissioner-Nominees Whose Names Are Currently Before The Oyo State House Of Assembly Are Prof. Raphael Afonja From Ogbomoso North And Alhaja Faosat Joke Sunni From Iseyin Local Government Area.

 

Makinde Had During The Campaigns Promised Youths In The State That He Would Appoint A Real Youth Of About 30 Years To Head The Ministry Of Youths.
