Police called to NHIS office over protest against executive secretary reinstatement

Dozens of Policemen Monday stormed the office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Abuja following workers’ protest over the reinstatement of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Usman Yusuf.

Following allegations of gross misconduct, Yusuf was suspended in June 2017 by the Minister of Health, Prof. Issac Adewole,

Yusuf was reinstated by the Federal Government on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
