[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ut of power and embroiled in turmoil once again, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  is again at the centre of fresh battle as a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, has filed a suit before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to amongst others, declare null and void, the election of the national chairman of the PDP on 9 December 2017.

Adedoja who contested the chairmanship position with Prince Uche Secondus, Professor Tunde Adeniran and High Chief Raymond Dokpesi told journalists in Abuja on Monday that his name was excluded on the ballot, making it impossible for delegates to vote for him at the convention.

The party’s internal battles – fraught with disputes about leadership is once again hindering moves to restore its tarnished image.
