Just in: Nnamdi Kanu Transferred from DSS Custody, Abuja, to Sokoto Prison

The Federal Government has relocated Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to a correctional facility in Sokoto State.

The transfer from the Department of State Services (DSS) detention facility in Abuja occurred less than 24 hours after Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court handed him a life sentence following his conviction on multiple terrorism counts.

Persecondnews reports that Kanu’s former lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, confirmed the move on X Friday, expressing concern that the relocation would further distance Kanu from his legal team and family members.
