President Bola Tinubu is at the head of a Federal Executive Council session at the State House Council Chamber in Abuja this Wednesday.

The President arrived at the Council Chamber at 2:34 pm, with VP Kashim Shettima by his side.

The Defence, Foreign Affairs, FCT and Aviation ministers were among those unavailable for the meeting.

The agenda includes review of a fresh National Policy on Small and Medium Enterprises covering 2026 to 2030.

SMEDAN Director-General Charles Odii said: “SMEDAN welcomes this partnership. When capable SMEs can compete for public contracts on clear terms, they gain avenues and experience, government broadens its supplier base, and more value stays in the local economy.

“This is fully consistent with the national policy on MSMEs… the policy expressly provides for improved MSME participation in public procurement.”
