Nigerian disc jockey and reality TV star, Tolani Shobajo, popularly known as Tolanibaj, has reportedly broken down in tears after allegedly losing equipment worth millions of naira to an employee she trusted.
A visibly shaken Tolanibaj broke down online while detailing how her staff member reportedly liquidated high-value gear behind her back and vanished into thin air.
In a distressed broadcast, the DJ recounted how her employee allegedly sold off crucial equipment without consent before pulling a sudden disappearing act.
The value of the equipment was said to run into millions of naira, leaving the entertainer devastated.
In the emotional footage, Tolanibaj expressed disbelief over how someone who worked closely with her could allegedly betray her trust.
Tolanibaj spoke emotionally about the alleged incident, expressing frustration over the fact that someone she trusted could allegedly take advantage of that trust.
“I trusted this person,” she reportedly said while struggling to fight back tears.
She also questioned how someone who had access to her business and belongings could allegedly carry out such an act without considering the consequences.
“How can you do this to me?” she asked emotionally, according to the viral clip.
The DJ’s distress appeared to deepen as she spoke about the amount of money involved and the difficulty of replacing professional equipment.
“This is not just one small thing. These are things that cost millions.”
The identity and whereabouts of the alleged employee, as well as the circumstances surrounding the reported sale of the equipment, remain unclear.
