I’m Already a Queen, No Need for Top 3 Validation – Tiwa Savage

973

Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage has addressed the ongoing debate about the “Top 3” artists in the country’s music scene.

With her signature confidence, the Afrobeats queen told the packed audience at her London concert on Sunday that she doesn’t care about the rankings.

In a video obtained by Per Second News, Tiwa bluntly stated that she is in her own lane and deserves respect as the reigning queen of the industry.

The debate about Nigeria’s “Top 3” artists has long revolved around the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, with new-generation stars like Rema, Asake, and Ayra Starr constantly trying to muscle their way into the conversation.

Dressed in a dazzling custom-made outfit, Tiwa paused her set to deliver what many in attendance described as a “sting” to her critics.

“I don’t care about your Top 3 or Top 5,” she declared, her voice carrying through the arena.

“I’m in my own lane. I’m the queen, and that should be respected.”

Her words instantly triggered loud cheers from her fans, many of whom had turned out in large numbers to celebrate her consistency in the industry.

The moment was captured on multiple phones and quickly circulated online, further igniting social media debates.

Observers say Savage’s statement reflects the frustrations many female artistes experience about being constantly sidelined in industry rankings dominated by their male colleagues.
