Olympics basketball quarterfinal: Nigeria’s D’Tigress overwhelmed by USA

Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress, crashed to the United States of America (USA) in the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games in Paris, France.

D’Tigress crashed 74-88 to the USA, missing out on a medal at the Olympics game.

The USA leads by 19 points. Going into the break, the world’s number 1 ranked team is pulling away from the tie, going into a double-figure lead at halftime.
The US ladies won three of the quarters to storm into the semi-finals of the Olympics, while D’Tigress won the last quarter 26-12.

In the fourth quarter, the Nigerian team came out stronger, pegging the US ladies to the back.

The Nigerian women had made history after beating fifth-ranked Canada to reach the quarterfinals, a feat that no African team has ever achieved in an Olympic tournament.
