NASS Gives Awards to NPA for Outstanding Transparency Practices

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has received a special recognition award from the Public Accounts Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for its commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and audit compliance.

In a post on its official X handle, the NPA disclosed that the award was conferred during the National Conference on Public Accounts and Fiscal Governance in Abuja.

The NPA’s leadership was lauded for maintaining high standards of financial reporting and demonstrating consistent support for public accountability processes.

According to the committees, the Authority’s contributions were pivotal in making this policy dialogue a reality.

The NPA’s transparency efforts have become a benchmark in the public sector, symbolizing institutional integrity.

The committees noted that the NPA stood out for its proactive audit compliance and strategic backing of the conference.

The NPA’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Abu Dantosho, was represented by the Executive Director Finance and Administration, Ms. Vivian Richard Edet, who received the award on behalf of the Authority.

The recognition is a reward to the NPA’s dedication to transparency and accountability, and its efforts to promote good governance in the public sector.
