Green-eyed hubby fatally stabs Bishop caught sleeping with wife

A clergyman holding the office of bishop was fatally stabbed in Osogbo, Osun State, amidst allegations of an extramarital affair with a married woman.

Randy Bishop Sina Olaribigbe of the Rapture Empowerment International, was allegedly stabbed several times by a jealous husband who had already separated from the woman, Persecondnews gathered.

The estranged wife is a member of the deceased pastor’s church, where she served as an interpreter.

The tragic event occurred when the husband who was tipped off by neighbours about the bishop’s presence at his estranged wife’s residence.

Seized by rage, he stabbed the bishop in the chest, leaving him to slump and die.

Confirming the tragic incident, the State Police Command’s spokeswoman, CSP Yemisi Opalola, said on Thursday in Osogbo: “The couple are not living together, though they are not legally separated..

“The bishop had been intervening in their marital disputes, and on this occasion, he was at the wife’s house when the estranged husband arrived.

“The husband probably believed the bishop was having an affair with his wife. He acted out of rage and stabbed the pastor multiple times, killing him instantly.”

Opalola confirmed that the suspect has been taken into police custody, while the pastor’s body has been deposited at the hospital morgue in the capital city.

She said investigations into the incident has begun.
