Lobi Stars appoints Daniel Amokachi as new technical adviser

1.7k

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Lobi Stars, has announced the appointment of Daniel Amokachi as the new technical adviser.

The decision comes after the club parted ways with former handler, Eugene Agagbe, due to the team’s poor start to the season.

A disappointing run of results marked Agagbe’s tenure, with Lobi Stars securing only three draws and suffering two defeats in their opening five games.

A statement on Sunday by the head of media Lobi Stars FC, Uja Emmanuel said the club’s management deemed the performance unacceptable, prompting the change in leadership.

Amokachi, a former Nigerian international and Everton FC player, has the responsibility of improving the team’s performance.

He is expected to resume work immediately, with the goal of improving the team’s performance and climbing the NPFL standings.

The team is currently 17th on the log, scoring two goals and conceding six in five games.

Agagbe’s departure has also resulted in the dismissal of the entire backroom staff.

However, they have been invited to reapply for their positions if they wish to continue with the club.

Lobi Stars’ management is confident that Amokachi’s wealth of experience and expertise will bring stability and success to the team, with the team conceding more than they score.
